Hello everyone, I am very pleased to join this small community and e-meet everyone!
My name is Eugene and I previously worked as the CTO at Homeez where we explored emerging technologies to help homeowners streamline their renovation process. After the launch of ChatGPT, and working with various AI developers, I realized that there are many potential gaps within this emerging technology, much like when smartphones were first invented.
I heeded the calling and felt that I needed to further improve myself within this domain. So, I dropped out of my current position and hope to be one of the pioneers of this industry while it's still young. Hopefully, I can develop something interesting in the near future and bring new opportunities to the world.
Hi everyone,
My name is Chee Keen. I use to be a Naval Officer in the RSN. I started learning programming and data science in 2020. I am now working as a software developer mainly in Frontend and Mobile applications. Looking forward to connecting with everyone!
Cheers,
Lim Chee Keen
My tryst with AI has been over a very long time and spans two Masters Degrees. The first by research in AI in the space of planning/reason maintenance/mathematical logic, from the Indian Institute of Technology Chennai, and the other in Bioinformatics from NTU.
In the days of the past, AI research used to be heavily temporally correlated to defense spending and wars being fought. Research funding used to shoot up in the years of direct conflagration since that was the only time one could seek money to buy expensive machinery like VAX AI workstations, or even earlier- Symbolics machines. A lot of focus was of real time planning, multi-agent notions of action and time, and general intelligence with heavy linkage to robotics. My first visit outside of India, where I was born (now I am a Singaporean!), was to Singapore for a conference at NTU on automation, robotics and computer vision conference 🙂
I belonged to the (General) Artificial Intelligence and Robotics laboratory and we looked down (kidding a little) on our cousins doing neural networks in the next door lab focused on "peripheral" intelligence - text, speech and vision. In those days, machine learning attempts used to be constantly challenged by the proponents of General AI and even the OR folk!
Little did we know then, that a decade or two later, ML would be the hottest thing on the market. Away from wrangling with logic/reasoning/"expert knowledge" etc. Simply because of two reasons. First, infrastructure/platform suddenly became cheap and accessible. Really cheap and accessible at that! And second, focus shifted to those more practical peripheral intelligence areas of text, speech and vision. Both as low hanging fruit and as pathways to more general intelligence.
Interestingly, I never worked in the space of AI applications directly, simply because there was not much happening there in the late 90s and 2000's. I spent most of my time, with integration, cloud infrastructure/architectures, mobile computing and geographic information systems dabbling with AI when the opportunity arose, mostly on the healthcare side.
But I am now trying to rediscover my origins in AI and to leverage and link in my experience in other areas of computing. Like most of us, whenever I see a concerted effort to understand and use "intelligence" wisely, I am excited.
Glad to be on this forum. I would like to learn and to contribute back and look forward to interacting with some of you.

Hey there every person, I am actually extremely delighted towards participate in this little area and also e-meet every person!
My title is actually Eugene and also I recently operated as the CTO at Homeez where our experts discovered arising modern technologies to assist individuals enhance their improvement method. After the release of ChatGPT, and also dealing with a variety of AI creators, I recognized that certainly there certainly are actually lots of possible spaces within this arising innovation, just like when cell phones wased initially developed.
I heeded the phoning and also really experienced that I had to additional boost myself within this domain name. Therefore, I fell away from my present setting and also wish to be among the leaders of the field while it is still youthful. With any luck, I may establish one thing appealing in the future and also deliver brand-brand new options towards the globe.
I am CheongJun Rui from Singapore, I am a Senior AI Engineer with 10+ years of Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing experience.

Hi everyone, it's a pleasure to meet you here! My name is Tianyu, and I have been working in the field of digital marketing for the past 11 years, with experience across various platforms, agencies, and brands.
I am always passionate about things that enhance our productivity. Earlier this year, I started focusing 100% on learning generative AI, especially tools like ChatGPT and Midjourney.
I truly hope that tools like these will empower us rather than replace us. As such, I have started posting a lot of content from my learning and experiments on LinkedIn (e.g. ChatGPT for Digital Marketing), aiming to inspire others and open up opportunities for collaboration. I look forward to learning from you all!
Hey everyone,
I hope you're all doing well! I wanted to take a moment to share my experience in the AI Apprenticeship Programme (AIAP) and how it has been a transformative journey for me.🌟 🌟 🌟
A little about me – I have a background in Pharmacy and have spent around four years working as a pharmacist. While the pharmaceutical field was rewarding, I found myself grappling with a plethora of repetitive and mundane tasks, especially in my role as a regulatory pharmacist. These tasks, although important, often consumed a significant portion of my time.💊💊💊
At a certain point, I realized that there had to be a way to streamline these processes and free up time for tasks that required more of my cognitive abilities. This realization drove me to explore the world of technology and automation. The idea of leveraging tools to eliminate monotonous tasks and focus on more intellectually stimulating work fascinated me.
💼💥
It was this pursuit that led me to the tech industry. I made the decision to switch careers, driven by my eagerness to learn new tools that could automate the repetitive aspects of my previous role. I believe that by harnessing automation, we can significantly improve efficiency and productivity in any field, ultimately leading to more innovative and impactful outcomes.🤖🤖🤖
As I delved deeper into the world of technology, I stumbled upon the AI Apprenticeship Programme (AIAP). Through the programme, I get the opportunity to work on real-world projects that utilizes AI. Through such real-world projects, it truly demonstrated to me that AI is more than just a buzzword – it's a game-changing tool that has the power to revolutionize industries and automate MANY tasks that were once considered time-consuming. The ability of AI to analyze data, make decisions, and carry out tasks with precision left me truly impressed.
Fast forward to the present, and I can confidently say that joining AIAP was one of the BEST decisions I've made. The program has not only expanded my horizons but has also equipped me with the tools to turn my vision of automation into reality. I've learned to develop AI models, work with cutting-edge technologies, and apply AI in various real-world scenarios.Through this journey, my conviction in the power of AI to automate mundane tasks has only grown stronger. I believe that by delegating repetitive processes to AI, we can unlock human potential and channel our efforts toward tasks that truly require our ingenuity.
I'm excited to continue exploring the world of AI, and I'm grateful for the opportunity AIAP has provided me to make this transition. If you're someone who's passionate about tinkering with technology tools, I highly recommend considering the AI Apprenticeship Programme after spending some time to self-study about Python and Machine Learning (ML). It might just be the turning point you've been waiting for!
Best regards,
Chong Junn
